United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women (UMW) are a community of women whose
purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as a whole
person through Jesus Christ. To develop a creative supportive
fellowship and to expand concepts and mission through
participation in the global ministries of the church. Membership
is open to women of all ages and the UMW hope to involve more
younger women in their programs.
At Centreville United Methodist Church, the United
Methodist Women nurture each woman's relationship with God
through Bible and book studies, special programs, prayer and
support for each other. Through their service and fund raising
activities, UMW service people under the ministry of Christ at
CUMC and in the community, nation and world.
General UMW Activities
Each year the UMW at CUMC donates their time, money and efforts
toward missions and other projects in the local church.
General meetings are held on 9:00 AM on every other Wednesday

Update by Barbara Erickson - February 2008 Newsletter
The
New Year is off to a running start! We have served the
B.O.O.M. meeting morning snacks and the United Methodist Men
dinner; and we have had our first meeting of the year! We
will begin our Blanket, Bibs, and Bags workshops on Tuesday's
beginning January 22nd at 9:30 AM, and we also hope to add
Prayer Shawls this year. If you can cut, pin, press, or use a
sewing machine, come join us in the fellowship. We can
also help you learn, or you could take the projects home if you
want.
Wednesday, February 13th, there will be a meeting at 10:30 AM to
prepare gift bags for our shut in, homebound Senior members,
which includes 23 folks. If you have items for our bags, please
let us know!
The UMW is open to all women of the church - come join us in our
outreach!
