Inclement Weather Policy

Work Week

In the event of inclement weather during the work week, we will follow the policy of Queen Anne's County Public Schools: Click Here for the Queen Anne County Public Schools Website.

  •  If schools are closed for the day due to weather, the office and building are closed for the entire day (no afternoon or evening activities).

  • If schools close early due to weather, the office and building close for the rest of the day (no afternoon or evening activities).

  • Outside groups (those not related to the ministry of CUMC, but just using our building) are NOT to meet.

Evenings

In the event that the weather clears by evening and the staff member or church group leader feels an absolute need to meet, they will contact the other members of their group. Otherwise, you can assume there is no meeting, rehearsal, etc. There will be no changes to the telephone answering system to suit any one group. Please be advised that the parking lot may not be clear!

Saturday

In the event of inclement weather on Saturday, the staff member or church group leader will make the judgment call and contact their group members. There will be no changes to the telephone answering system to suit any one group. Please be advised that the parking lot may not be clear!

Sunday

In the event of inclement weather on Sunday, the Pastor will make the judgment call. The decision will be made by 7:00 AM. You may call the church office and listen to the recording. If there isn't a message specifically stating that Sunday's Services will be cancelled, then the services will be held.
