The Nursery Ministry

The Nursery Ministry is an important, two-fold contribution of care and concern within the Centreville United Methodist Church, that of ministering to both parents and children. What a wonderful opportunity this ministry is in showing our love for our church family and our Lord!

Guidelines for Parents Using the Nursery Facilities

1. No child over the age of 6 will be allowed to be in the Nursery unless that child is the child of the Nursery Attendant.

2. The Nursery Attendant will NOT administer medicines.

3. Children who are ill or with bad colds will not be allowed to be in attendance.

4. Please mark your child's coat or belongings with both First and Last names.

5. All children leaving the Nursery following the service must leave with a parent or notification in writing about who will be coming for the child/children must be given to the Nursery Attendant.

Guidelines for Parents Using the Nursery Facilities

A. The Nursery Attendant should be in the Nursery at 8:30 AM and 10:40 AM respectively.

B. Only one young person may aid the Attendant during the Church hour and he/she must have pre-registered to help. The young person must find a substitute, if he/she cannot help on the date selected.

C. If the Nursery Attendant cannot be in attendance on the dates selected, a substitute must be selected from a list in the Church Office.

D. The Nursery Attendant should not leave the Nursery unattended while children remain in the room.

E. The Nursery Attendant should be expected to stay at least 15 minutes following the close of the service.

F. The Nursery Room should be kept in neat condition. A hand-vacuum can be found in the Nursery closet.

We are in need of Volunteers to assist with the 11:00 AM Nursery!

The Volunteer will work with Kelly Nelson, our full-time attendant, and assist with this very important Christian Mission.

Please contact Larisa Thomas (Larisa.Thomas@centreville-umc.com) or via phone at (410) 758-2144 to volunteer for any of the open Sunday's highlighted in GREEN below.

The Nursery is available for all children infant to 5 years old. Nursery services are available every Sunday from 10:45am to 12:15pm.  Kelly Nelson is our Nursery Attendant and gets assistance each week through the Nursery Volunteers.  Below is the 2006 Nursery Volunteer schedule.  If you have a calling to assist with this, we could use your help.
