Centreville
Youth Ministries
Mission Statement
Centreville
Youth Ministries (CYM) exists for the youth of Queen Anne’s
County,
regardless of
school, church, faith, or faith journey to praise God and
Jesus.
CYM will do this
with our fellowship together, our ministry to believers and
non-believers,
our missions and
service for the community, and through our continued efforts
to become
stronger in our faith and better disciples.

Where will YOU meet Christ?

There
are many ways that you can meet Jesus Christ, but none like
Centreville Youth Ministry events!
What is Centreville Youth
Ministries?
Centreville Youth Ministries is the combination of different
youth groups that all meet at Centreville United Methodist
Church.
The many groups include:
t
MYF-
Methodist Youth Fellowship is our ministry for youth in grades 6th
through 12th! In MYF youth play games, sing songs,
and learn about Jesus and are challenged to discover and build
in their own faith!
t
Youth Missions
- YM is the group of youth that participate in various
missions around Centreville, Queen Anne’s County, and the
United States!
t
Student Leadership Team- SLT members are youth who feel like Christ is leading them to be
our leaders! SLT helps to plan and organize all of the events,
missions, and activities CYM do.
t
Series “33”-
A personal Bible study for all ages. The questions are
designed for personal reflection on the books of the Bible.
“Now
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen.”
Hebrews11:1

Is He calling you to Centreville Youth Ministries, but you have
some questions?
Here
are some answers!!!
How do I
join CYM? Call or email Ken
Laing the Director of Youth Ministries and talk to him about the
schedule OR just show up on a Sunday evening!
How much
does CYM cost to join? Nothing,
It’s FREE!!! Events may have a fee, but weekly scheduled stuff
is FREE!!
Will I
know anyone there? CYM has over
30 members that go to Centreville Middle, Q.A. High, and various
private schools; you will be surprised about how many people you
know who already go!
Do I have
to join all of these groups to join one?
NO, you can become a part of one or
all of the groups! It is your choice!
I am
really a busy person and I cannot make it all the time is that
ok? Yes, being able to make it
every once in awhile is better then never!
Do I have
to be Methodist to join? No,
all you have to be is willing to learn and love Christ!
CYM lives out the Great
Commandment and the Great Commission through all of our
activities!
The Great Commission
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy
Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded
you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the
age.” (Matt. 28:19-20)
The Great Commandment
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first
and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your
neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on
these two commandments” (Matt. 22:37-40)
